I agree with Linda. I also like the effect that you used around the image, reminds me of the eye thing from The Lord of the Rings. +5

Several things came to mind when I saw this:
-It reminds me of Sauron.
-It reminds me of Horus (from ancient egyptian mythology).
-It reminds me of the battle between the light and the dark, hot and cold, ying and yang, good and evil in the "I" (id?, ego?) of the individual.

... but me it reminds of Photoshop filters.

Ofcourse it is, arenhaus. As I said already, it's a very simple image.
The attention lies more on the mood, than on the complexity or the technique (because I can't even draw a simple square at all ). It's just a piece for myself and my feelings.

...but you have drawn more than a simple square here . Nice to see your first piece Haevion. My first thought is of course Ancient Egypt and the powerful eye of Horus.

Really? Well then it's the blue eye of Horus. So it would be the Good Eye, the one that wasn't torn to pieces by Set? I have an old artwork of the eyes of Horus (both together), as viewports into a tomb with a sarcophagus (the sarcophagus was a memorial to our cat "Pepper" who passed away several years ago. It seemed fitting to give him an egyptian memorial as the ancient egyptians had a great deal of respect for the feline of the species). I'll post it one of these days. It's rather simple and not terribly interesting nor as atmospheric as what you have done here.

well execution is not very great... but if your goal is to show your mood ... well YES you have win.... take time for pratice!!!

Well as it was downloading my first thought was bomb smoke, explosions etc..and there is the eye of Horus looking down on it all...judging, and sad and disappointed in humanity...the light in the lower eye brings to mind tears welling up there... which if reflecting your feelings sorry you are feeling so.
You have made good choices in placement of light and dark and tonal ranges which are well balanced and good compositionwise. I think you have done very well in expression of feelings, it is soooooo full of feelings and emotion. I think you should continue to experiment! I want to see more.
